My Phone Is Now My Camera
Friday, 11 January 2013
After spending a day filling my Lumia with music (not without problems) and podcasts (also not without problems) to keep me entertained on my 8 hour flight back to London yesterday, just as I was about to board and set the phone to airplane mode, the phone decided to stop working. To be more specific, my touch input was no longer being registered; the hardware buttons however still worked, meaning my Lumia 920 was now a smartcamera. Great.
Even before this incident, my first two weeks with both wasn't as stable and smooth as the duration of my experience with their predecessor, my Omnia 7 running Windows Phone 7 and then 7.5. I don't know if it's the Lumia 920 hardware, or if it's Windows Phone 8. Or, a combination even. There were signs all week that's something not right with mine either, which I decided to blissfully ignore. This I couldn't. Unfortunately, there are others too.
